1st place:
Book of Revelation II by LukasSowada

his feature: here

critique:
Book of Revelation II by LukasSowada has a real melancholic atmosphere. The green of the grass gives a perfect contrast to the model's skin and clothes. The expression on his face tells more than thousand words and you really think you can feel his pain. The position of his hand underlines his situation, which seems to be hopeless, whatever the circumstances are. All in all, this is a real magical portrait which catches your attention and touches you.



2nd place:
Somewhere in Time by kokdemir

critique:
Somewhere in Time by kokdemir is a b/w-half-face portrait. I doesn't show much of the model, but it shows a lot of emotion. Even if her eyes are closed and she does not show a lot of expression, the picture displays a lot of sadness. Also, even if it does not belong to the picture, the music which is linked under the deviation, perfectly fits. All in all, a great artwork.



3rd place:
-ECsmoke6- by MistyTableau

critique:
-ECsmoke6- by MistyTableau is a very experimental and retro-styled portrait. Even if it's so extraordinary, it shows us emotion. The b/w contrasted to the red lips and the red spot give a great special effect, which underlines the addiction of the model. Maybe also because there's the colour "red", the addiction is shown as a very positive feeling, like love.

Hi,
da ihr sehr gute Portraits schießt und eure Gruppe sehr gute Portraits sammelt würde ich mich freuen wenn ihr eine kurze Anleitung zu diesem Thema verfassen könntet. Worauf kommt es an? Wie werden Bildauschnitte gewählt und wie ist die Lichtwirkung zu wählen?

Würde mich freuen wenn ihr eure Erfahrung kurz teilen könntet ;)

ich habe momentan leider sehr wenig Zeit und bin mal froh wenn ich es schaffe die Bilder von einem Shooting innerhalb von 1-2 Wochen durchzuschauen und zu bearbeiten :(

auch mache ich das persönlich alles eig. eher unbewusst aus Intuition und Geschmack ;) von daher hätte das glaube ich nicht viel professionellen Wert ...
aber ich werd' mal mit Kathrin reden, vielleicht finden wir mal ein bisschen Zeit dafür ... aber versprechen kann ich nichts. ;)

oh, I have to ask something. I've only realised minutes ago that you're holding an 'emotion contest'! I've already submitted it, but I live in Hungray (Central Europe) and it was 9 o'clock not 8. However, I could submit to the contest folder, so what's now? Was I out of time, or not? :confused:
